The AMA Foundation’s Healthy LivingGrant program provides seed grants for grassroots public health programs. 2013 grants support projects that raise awareness and educate children and
youth about the dangers of prescription drug abuse or misuse.
Though the
focus is on funding medical-related organizations, the grant program encourages
collaboration with nfp’s / schools / government entities. The target audience
of the project must be an underserved and/or at-risk population between the
ages of 2-21.

Ceiling: $10,000; Award Floor: $8,000; Up to 30 awards will be made; deadline: July 16,
