AT&T Initiative Aims to Reduce Dropout Rate

On the plus side, the Local High School Impact Initiative is a noble and worthy enterprise. On the minus side, as with other AT&T opportunities, it’s difficult to find relevant info quickly and succinctly. So if you’re interested in fixing the dropout problem, I encourage you to explore.

AT&T will make multiple awards of $100,000-300,000 over two years to school districts, campuses, nonprofit school district foundations, and nonprofit public charities.

The goal is to fund high school success and college and career readiness programs that are helping to reduce dropout rates in their communities. Take the Pre-Qualification Survey.

The 2012 Local Impact Request for Proposals features an increased focus on metrics, with a preference for programs showing results for those served vs. peer groups, as well as a stronger emphasis on underserved populations.

Deadline: April 18, 2012
