Grants from the Community Foundation of Eastern CT



NFP’s and charitable, educational and civic organizations serving 42 towns located in eastern Connecticut are eligible for grants in the areas of:

  • Arts and culture
  • Community development
  • Education
  • Environment
  • Health and human services

There are general grants in the range of $2,000 to $15,000 available to 11 towns in Southeastern Connecticut; the deadline is November 15 and the application is here. There are also three Women & Girls Funds grants depending on where your library is located.

Windham area: Programs that help remove the inequities that block women from self-sustainability and improve the quality of life for all women and girls. The deadline is October 5, 2013. Grant guidelines here, more information here. Contact: Kip Parker (877.442.3572 & kip@cfect.org).

Southeast area: Grants in the range of $2,000 to $10,000 are available to uplift women and girls facing challenges in their lives. The deadline is August 15, 2013; guidelines here.

Norwich area: Grants of up to $5,000 to harness the vitality of women living and working in our region for the purpose of uplifting other women and girls who face challenges in their lives. The deadline is August 15, 2013; guidelines here.
