Together Green Fellowships, Grants


Audubon & Toyota have joined together to fund a 'Promising Conservation Leaders' initiative and to award grants for community-based projects under the 'TogetherGreen' umbrella.

TogetherGreen Conservation Fellowships invest in individuals who are committed to empowering others and to creating positive environmental change in their communities and organizations. Fellows receive a $10,000 grant to conduct a 12-month conservation action project in their community, as well as specialized training and support to help shape and implement their projects. They also become part of a dynamic alumni network of conservation professionals from across the country. Dealine: March 5, 2012;

TogetherGreen Innovation Grants provide essential funding enabling Audubon groups and others to inspire, equip, and support activities that engage new and diverse audiences in conservation action and create healthier communities. A minimum of 40 projects will receive funding, totaling more than $1 million of support. Grants will range from $5,000 - $80,000.  Deadline: April 2, 2012.

CT Health Foundation Health Leadership Fellows Program

CT Health Foundation established the Health Leadership Fellows Program to create leaders and change agents through who have the knowledge, skills, and abilities to recognize and seize opportunities to act for health equity.

To close the gap caused by racial and ethnic health disparities, communities need strong leaders who can advocate for policy decisions that influence health-related issues and health care.

"The Health Leadership Fellows program brings together diverse yet like-minded individuals from multiple sectors that are dedicated to achieving health equity. The Program consists of seminars, weekend retreats, a group leadership project, and outside coursework that foster a learning-intensive environment for the participants to challenge themselves and each other."

Twenty participants will be selected for the program. Eligible candidates should demonstrate a commitment to achieving health quality in the state of Connecticut.
