page (and also by me here last year),
Build-A-Bear offers grants supporting programs in the areas of children's
health and wellness (e.g., child
safety organizations, health and wellness educational programs, and for organizations that serve children with special needs),
animals and the environment, and literacy and education.
The maximum Grant
is $5,000; the deadline is August 31, 2012.
Priority is given to organizations
located near Build-A-Bear Workshop stores and they fund two types of grant
o Individual
Project grants - These grants are generally for one-time purchases or to
fulfill a short-term need, such as the purchase of materials or equipment.
o Organization
Program grants - These grants fund start-up or operational costs for ongoing
programs.
