RSVP grants for projects that support volunteers aged 55+



Corporation for National and Community Service Senior Corps Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP). The Corporation for National and Community Service offers funds to develop Retired and Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) projects that support volunteers 55 years and older in serving specific local and community needs.
Deadlines: Letter of Intent (optional): Aug 9, 2013; Application: September 10, 2013.

Programs should focus on one of the following six areas:
                    Education - Providing support to school-readiness programs; Providing support that improves academic performance and engagement
                    Healthy Futures - Supporting the ability of homebound, older adults and individuals with disabilities to live independently; Assisting individuals with food resources
                    Veteran and Military Families - Supporting veterans, veterans' family members, military service members, and military service members’ families
                    Economic Opportunity - Providing housing-related assistance for economically disadvantaged people, including homeless individuals
                    Environmental Stewardship - Improving at-risk acres (land and/or water) in national, state, city or county parks, or other public or tribal lands
                    Disaster Services - Assisting in disaster preparedness, response, recovery, and/or mitigation
