Aetna Foundation Regional Grants provide funding for organizations that focus on issues that improve health and the health care system related to obesity, racial and ethnic health care equity, and integrated health care.
Deadline: 9/15/13; awards can be as much as $40,000.
The 2013 Regional Grants will focus on:
• Healthy food choices - Programs that provide nutrition education and help increase the availability of affordable fresh fruits and vegetables in underserved communities
• Healthy activity - Programs that provide opportunities for physical activity in underserved communities
Community wellness initiatives focusing on healthy food and activity that serve low-income, underserved, or minority populations.
