Berkshire Taconic houses many types of funds, all supported by
individuals, families, communities and organizations with philanthropic
ideals. The Northwest Corner fund was established to improve the
quality of life for the residents of northwest Litchfield County.
Each year, the Northwest Corner Fund awards grants to nonprofit
groups to underwrite their participation in the Nonprofit Learning
Program, in which a national expert works with board and staff members
of local nonprofits to build more effective organizations.
2009-2010 saw $1.1M granted to organizations from the Northwest Corner fund.
